Burmese Dha - Short Sword
Place of Origin: Burma
Date: 20th Century
Overall Length:
Ref #1002
Description:
Beautiful Burmese Dha, small sword in very nice condition. The scabbard and hilt are cast of a brass/copper alloy that has been silver chased. The silvering has been worn more on the scabbard, but it still retains a significant percentage of the original colour. The hilt retains most of its silver chasing. The blade is curved and well forged with lovely silver overlays across almost the entire surface of both sides of the blade. Possibly a ceremonial sword, but still well balanced and deadly.
