Description:
Indian Talwar for a boy. This is a well made sword with a steel blade and iron hilt that have been well executed and have survived in nice condition. The hilt has a lovely russet brown patina with chiselled borders, trims and florets. The blade also has the remnants of an incised design at the forte. There is a maker’s mark on the blade which is reminiscent of the type encountered on earlier European blades. The original fabric covered wooden scabbard exists but is broken and in tired condition.
