Curassier Officer’s Sword ; GARDE DE BATAILLE

A stunning First Empire Curassier Officer’s Sword in near mint condition. The forward quillon has been deliberately removed, this is no doubt a working life removal that allowed for the mechanical functionality commensurate to the 1908 Heavy Cavalry Sword of 100 years later. The sword is all original and in superior condition. The scabbard shows wear on the drag but other than this natural wear pattern, is in remarkable condition and snaps beautifully into place on the blade. This is a sword that belongs in any fine sword collection.
