Description:
For sale is a rare German (Saxon) quillon dagger from the 16th century. The dagger is all original and has never been dismounted. It shows pitting and wear that is commensurate with its great age. It has received light cleanings over the years, but has aged to a very pleasing grey patina. There is a prominent but illegible mark at the forte of the blade. A large, rare and authentic dagger that would have been a companion to large battle sword and carried by a warrior.
