Indonesian Sword
Place of Origin: Indonesian Archipelago
Date: 19th Century / Early 20th
Overall Length: 12 1/4”
Ref #1017
Description:
This lovely sword is typical in size and form to the types we see in the Indonesian Archipelago, but it has an unusual horn hilt and we are not sure exactly where this weapon comes from. The hilt is beautifully craved with a reptilian head, the blade is well balanced and in very fine condition. The scabbard is comprised of a black hardwood bound by roping in three places. A very attractive piece.
